Engineers Without Borders - Peru Team
September 2022 - Present

As a member of the Communications sub-team, I have worked with my peers to communicate with the local community in Maras, Peru for which we are aiding in addressing their water quality/quantity issues. This involves frequent contact with our local point of contact, as well as the local government, and the dissemination of surveys to community member. Currently, we are working towards solutions for the community health center that does not have adequate amounts of water for its daily needs.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

Through SHPE I have had the opportunity to serve many roles. This includes as a mentor to a younger student entering the organization and an Outreach Director who organized events with the local Gainesville community and a beach cleanup. As of this summer, I am currently a Graduate Outreach Director responsible for providing resources and building up the community to be more accessible for the Graduate students on campus.
